The Link School specialises in meeting the needs of students who have Speech, Language and Communication difficulties and provides placements for students from a wide range of local authorities.
This section provides key information including how the school spends the funding it receives, its policies and procedures, how students perform in exams and assessment, inspection information and the schools self-evaluation.
Maple class pupils are active learners and learn best when they have opportunity to physically practise everything they see and hear within the curriculum. Most lessons will start with the class working together as a whole but the majority of learning happens within small groups and individually as targets, activities and equipment is differentiated for each need. Many of the pupils have high anxieties related to their sensory integration difficulties and social and emotional needs and therefore the class provides a high level nurturing environment and approaches to help them self- regulate their sensory and emotional difficulties.
