Our satellite provision provides a safe and nurturing environment for autistic young people who show demand avoidant profiles. These learners often have faced challenges when accessing traditional learning models. Our small site aims to promote a safe environment where our learners can develop connections and trust with adults in order to overcome their anxieties related to the demands of academia and social interactions. The key focus is on backdoor learning, nurture and wellbeing approaches.
We aim to provide a learning environment which is person centred and develops skills and knowledge that will equip our learners with learning for life skills as well as the ability to navigate the world with as much independence as possible. We promote the best possible outcome for each individual and provide suitable routes to qualifications for our learners in their areas of interest.
The specialist collaborative team supports our learners with their social communication, sensory and wellbeing needs alongside the academic.
