The Link School specialises in meeting the needs of students who have Speech, Language and Communication difficulties and provides placements for students from a wide range of local authorities.
This section provides key information including how the school spends the funding it receives, its policies and procedures, how students perform in exams and assessment, inspection information and the schools self-evaluation.
Our Canine Assisted Learning (CAL) therapy sessions are dedicated to improving the mental health, emotional wellbeing and literacy of young people through professional canine support.
CAL at The Link School is delivered by Lisa Thompson and therapy dogs Mabel and Autumn. They bring so much joy to our school, they support students with strategies for staying calm, reducing anxiety and some students like to read with them.
Students enjoy stroking and playing with the dogs – enhancing their love of dogs or simply overcoming any fears they may have.
