The Link School specialises in meeting the needs of students who have Speech, Language and Communication difficulties and provides placements for students from a wide range of local authorities.
This section provides key information including how the school spends the funding it receives, its policies and procedures, how students perform in exams and assessment, inspection information and the schools self-evaluation.
At The Link School we employ our own Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists and buy in other therapies as required, e.g. Music Therapy and Drama Therapy.
We have six Speech and Language Therapists who work for two days a week each. We have three Occupational therapists who give six full days of support between them across a week. An Occupational Therapy assistant is also employed permanently to ensure all the programmes are completed as advised by assessment.
Therapy is integral to teaching and learning and the life of the school. It is a team approach with teachers, support assistants and therapists all working together to meet the needs of the children.
