This week The Link School has been supporting Comic Relief. The charity uses the day to create fun moments that can be used to raise money for its projects. All year-round, the money donated to Comic Relief works hard to support some incredible projects making a change to people’s lives across the UK and around the world.
We are pleased to share that as a result of us donning our red clothes and having a bit of a silly day, we managed to raise £57.40 to date, with monies still to be added. We are proud to support Comic Relief as it helps people local to us through initiatives such as Guiding Hands, a local charity based in Croydon.
With the support of Comic Relief funding, Guiding Hands provides advice, training and workshops for
young mums, to learn about cooking and healthy eating in a safe, non-judgmental and social environment.
Guiding Hands has also been delivering essential food packages to families across the community,
to help ensure that no child goes hungry.
