Senior Student Leadership Team

This week we launched our Senior Student Leadership Team (‘SSLT’). This is a special group of sixth formers who will work alongside Liam and Lynn at the secondary site and are responsible for improving and educating pupils in various aspects of the school life. They will also act as representatives of the school and are an important part of our student voice at The Link.

Head Girl will be Michelle and Head Boy is Ayaan. Both have a number of roles but will represent the school, for example at open days, and speak at key events such as the carol service.

Ben enjoys music and drama and is a good choice for SSL in charge of entertainment and music. His first job will be to help organise the Halloween party in Johnson class.

Kelvin will be SSL with responsibility for digital safety. He will talk to students about this and create posters to ensure we all know how to be safe.

Shaylin will be our SSL responsible for green issues and will liaise with students and relevant staff to make sure we are working best to support the environment, for example making sure we recycle.

Malachy will be the SSL responsible for the school environment. Having a safe, clean space to play and work is vital for learning and he will ensure there is no litter and that we enjoy the garden.

Sean and Kruthiga will be crucial to students’ well-being and will be trained to spot students who may be a little upset and who might need support or a kind word.

Our sports leader is Thomas EP. He will work with James to encourage students and staff to participate in sporting events. He is a great role model as he enjoys lots of sport himself.

All these roles will develop the amazing personal skills they have. We look forward to them meeting the challenge head on and will report back on the impact they have at The Link School.
