The Link School secondary site’s school council have been very busy this year. A meeting was called at the beginning of the school term at which counsellors discussed how they could make school lunches more fun. The counsellors agreed on
having themed lunches once a month to make lunchtime more exciting. They started off with the lunar new year on Monday. Counsellors had a stall at lunchtime in the hall and they gave out fortune cookies and chopsticks to let other students try and eat their lunch with.

A student in year 8 said: ‘I really enjoyed it; I wanted more’. A student from year 9 said: ‘I tried using chopsticks to eat my food’.
Dylan, Weir class’s, school councillor, helped on the stall and said he enjoyed taking part and it will help him with his Duke of
Edinburgh award. The school council will run themed lunches once every month, with Pancake Day and St Patrick’s Day in the near future.
