In Hubble we are an informal class and we strive to help our learners develop key skills needed for their lives. Some students access a semi-formal pathway when they are able to balance the demands of work with their anxiety.

We understand that learning is more than the academics. Before we can think of traditional “learning” we must help develop other skills first: such as their emotional regulation, social skills, listening, attention, tolerance of others and communication to name but a few.

One of our most important lessons that we try to teach our learners is that we believe in them. For them to understand that we all make mistakes, but that doesn’t drive us away. We are here for the long haul – we strive to understand the underlying purpose of any  behaviour and support students to put in strategies around any unresolved problems. . We strongly believe that EVERYONE has something positive to add to the world and we will be there to find their skills and nurture them to their full potential. Whatever their interest, we are there. Whether it is birdwatching, cooking, experimenting with materials, gaming or helping the environment. They become our teachers for a shared learning experience.
