We were very pleased to welcome Elliot Colburn, our local MP to the school this week. With over 1.5 million people diagnosed with (with the majority having speech, language and communication needs) he was keen to see the work we carry out within this field.

Elliot posted articles about his visit on social media and said: “It was a pleasure to visit The Link School this morning, where I met Principal Sandy Turner and had a tour of the both the primary and the secondary schools there. The school and its staff are doing brilliant work for children and young people with speech, language and communication difficulties. I am equally excited to set up a further visit to The Link’s satellite site in the near future. The satellite site is one of a handful of school in the country specialising in helping children with demand avoidant profiles. Many thanks to Sandy the wider staff network at The Link School for all the amazing, invaluable work they do day-in-day-out for their students”.
